O&O SafeErase features a nicely designed interface with a main area (the so called Start page) where you can select the task you want to perform: delete files and folders, Internet files, temporary Windows files or disk partitions. Two other options (freeing disk space and deleting the whole computer) are not available in the demo version.
O&O SafeErase does an efficient job, though it can take a while depending on how many elements you've marked for erasing. You have the option of simulating file deletion before actually getting rid of the data, and can also save a report with details about the job. Plus there are six deletion methods to choose from, from the most secure one (in which data are overwritten by 35 different cycles) to the simplest one, where selected files are overwritten by zeros.
